April is here, and with that, we have exactly 232 days to go until GTA 6 finally releases. That also means it's been 1,517 days since Rockstar Games first confirmed that it was in "active development," and that kind of wait has been having exactly the kind of effect you'd expect on fans, many of whom are convinced trailer 3 is coming soon, for real this time.
I don't need to tell you that GTA 6 hopium is nothing new, but many fans are becoming increasingly feral over the prospect of a new trailer. Sure, a missing Rockstar YouTube video last November amounted to nothing, and the GTA+ subscription being added to the game's PlayStation store page ahead of an upcoming Take-Two financial call didn't lead anywhere, but the mere passage of time has got to mean something, right? Right?
"April just started – any chance of GTA 6 Trailer 3?" one fan asks on Reddit, starting the month off strong.
Others have been slightly more hesitant, though. "I've seen SO many YouTube videos about a potential trailer 3 in April and i'm just not convinced," one writes. Elsewhere, however, another speculates: "They confirmed summer for launch marketing. Trailer 1 and 2 were released outside this window. It is entirely plausible that we will get a trailer before the next earnings call."

They raise a very good point there, which many believe completely debunks the idea of another trailer dropping in April, which is that it's been officially confirmed that Rockstar's "launch marketing" is "set to begin this Summer." Astronomical summer in the Northern Hemisphere begins on June 21 this year, but based on the way that the seasons are usually broken up when it comes to the games calendar, the summer window Rockstar has in mind is probably more aligned with the start of June through to the end of August. Notably, not April, even if the first rays of sunlight we might finally see peeking through the clouds in the UK might make you feel otherwise.
That's still not stopping some people from believing, though, like the person above, and another who thinks that the "launch marketing" term might not apply to all remaining marketing for the game. "Launch marketing is what's starting in the summer bro," they theorize. "Trailer 3 and preorders are usually before the launch marketing, launch marketing is physical ads like billboards and bus ads, etc and full marketing campaign." Trust me, bro.
Frankly, there doesn't seem to be any solid evidence to suggest that we can expect any GTA 6 news anytime soon, but again, with each passing day, fans only get more unhinged, so this sort of speculation is both understandable and expected. We can only hope Rockstar will put us all out of our misery sooner than later, with the game set to finally launch on November 19.
