Roberto Firmino has thanked his Liverpool team-mates for the "unforgettable" send-off he was awarded during an end-of-season celebration at Anfield on Sunday.
The Brazilian is one of four players who will leave the club at the end of June once their contracts expire, with James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita also drawing the curtain on their careers on Merseyside.
And to celebrate the Liverpool careers of the soon-to-be departees, who have won every top-level honour since making their respective moves to Merseyside, the Reds hosted a farewell reception at Anfield on Sunday afternoon less than 24 hours after Firmino marked his final appearance on home soil with a last-gasp equaliser against Aston Villa in the Premier League.

Pictures and videos circulating on social media in the following days showed captain Jordan Henderson and manager Jurgen Klopp paying homage to Firmino's Liverpool career, with the former breaking out into a chorus of the renowned Kop anthem 'Si Senor' after delivering a heartfelt message to the forward in one of the Anfield hospitality suites.
Taking to Instagram to reflect on the celebrations, Firmino thanked all of his team-mates who turned out to celebrate his trophy-laden, eight-year career with the Reds.
"About Sunday … what an unforgettable day," posted the Brazilian to his 14.7m followers. "Thank you for all of you. God Bless you all. He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less. (John 3:30)"
Speaking to the ECHO last week ahead of his Anfield farewell, the forward insisted it is the right time to depart the club despite Klopp wanting to retain his services. In the last three seasons, Darwin Nunez, Cody Gakpo, Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz have all been added to the Reds' attacking ranks.
After overcoming a muscle injury to declare himself fit for Saturday's draw with Aston Villa, Firmino is in line to make his final appearance for the club on Sunday afternoon when Klopp's side travel to already-relegated Southampton for the final game of the Premier League season.
