Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi has not ruled out leaving the club in the near future with Tottenham in desperate need of a new head coach. Spurs had been linked with appointing De Zerbi in the wake of Antonio Conte's dismissal but talk went quiet after Julian Nagelsmann became the clear favourite.
The former Bayern Munich boss went on to be ruled out of the running before Arne Slot was outlined as the frontrunner until he committed his future to Feyenoord on Thursday morning. Therefore, with Daniel Levy likely having to head back to his initial managerial short list, De Zerbi could become an option once again.
In the time elapsed since interest was first established in early April, De Zerbi has guided Brighton to a spot in next season's Europa League which included a marquee win against Arsenal at Emirates Stadium. There is expected to be significant outgoings for the Seagulls this summer with Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister wanted elsewhere, however losing the manager imminently is unlikely.

"I didn't say I will stay a long time," De Zerbi revealed ahead of Wednesday's clash with Man City. "I will stay next year but not because I don't want to stay a long time because I am used to saying something if I am sure that I won't lose my work," De Zerbi said at his pre-match press conference on Tuesday.
"It can happen if Tony [Bloom] doesn't sack me, no? It can happen. I want to feel the fire in my work. I want to feel a strong motivation and I want to enjoy. Until that moment, probably I will stay."
Following the news of Slot being out of the running, Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou and Brendan Rodgers, who left Leicester in early April, have been the early names linked strongly for the job, while a further four others could be back in the frame.
