Hearts manager Robbie Neilson says a decision will be made on whether Jacob Davenport stays at the Jambos beyond this week will be made shortly.
The midfielder left Blackburn Rovers at the end of the English Championship season and is on trial with the Jambos with a view to a permanent move. A call on whether his stay at Hearts becomes a longer one will be made over a weekend where they travel to city rivals Hibs for their second Premiership match of the season.
Neilson has also been linked to South Korean forward Lee Seung-woo but was coy on the matter of whether or not he too could make a move to Tynecastle. He said: "We brought Jacob up and been having a look at him. We're still assessing it and will make a decision probably at the end of this week and over the weekend.
