"Return of World Cup to Africa after 24 years a landmark milestone": ICC chairman Jay Shah

Johannesburg: International Cricket Council (ICC) chairman Jay Shah termed ICC Cricket World Cup's return to Africa after 24 years as a "landmark moment" for the sport and expressed optimism that a great tournament displaying the immense passion, diversity and warmth of the hosting nations will be witnessed by all next year.

The road to the 2027 ICC Cricket World Cup officially kickstarted, with the tournament's logo/brand identity and hosting venues unveiled in Johannesburg on Thursday. The tournament will be co-hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
