Retro 80s chocolate bar ‘better than KitKat’ back on UK shelves after 20 year hiatus

The 1980s have officially returned to M&S with the comeback of a discontinued chocolate bar.

The supermarket is reviving the St Michael Take 4 bar — a KitKat-style four-finger wafer — which will be back on shelves after a 25-year absence.

First launched in the 1980s, the bar is returning in its original nostalgic wrapper.

M&S announced the news on its social media page, writing: “We’re re-introducing another St Michael sensation, with this simply cracking chocolate bar from our archives, in its full retro-inspired glory.

“First sold in 1987, our Take 4 bar contains four fingers of crispy wafer, enrobed in our iconic milk chocolate.”

Fans of the retro chocolate bar have taken to the comments to share their excitement over its re-release.

“On the shopping list for tomorrow,” one person wrote.

“I’m going to look out for this, I like the design of it,” said another.

M&S is also bringing back its Rose Mulled Wine - an iconic Christmas tipple for the festive period.

It was the first supermarket to introduce a modern take on the festive tipple a decade ago, and with rosé surging in popularity over the summer, the retailer has decided to bring it back, priced at £6 per bottle.
