Republican Senator says Laura Loomer is ruining Trump's re-election chances: 'A DNC plant couldn't do a better job'

Republican Senator Thom Tillis blasted far-right activist Laura Loomer on Friday after a series of public clashes with other high-profile party figures who criticized her for racist posts about Vice President Kamala Harris.

The North Carolina Senator took to X to call Loomer a "crazy conspiracy theorist who regularly utters disgusting garbage intended to divide Republicans." "A DNC plant couldn't do a better job than she is doing to hurt President Trump's chances of winning re-election. Enough," the message added.

Tillis is the latest to publicly take on Loomer after she seemed to make reference to Kamala Harris' Indian heritage, saying that should she win the elections in November, the "White House will smell like curry & White House speeches will be facilitated via call center."

The first Republican lawmaker to call out the comments was Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has a history of making controversial statements herself. She said the post should be deleted, calling it "appalling and extremely racist." "It does not represent who we are as Republicans or MAGA. This does not represent President Trump. This type of behavior should not be tolerated ever," she added.

Loomer, whose profile has been higher during the past days as she travelled with former President Donald Trump to the presidential debate on Tuesday and to the 9/11 memorial in NYC, was quick to pick up the glove. She called Taylor Greene a "raging antisemite" and said her comments were humorous.

"It's really funny how @mtgreenee (a raging antisemite who said Jews use space lasers to control the world) wants to pretend like I'm a 'racist' because I made a funny joke about Kamala Harris making cooking videos and buying curry spice at an anti Trump spice shop and I mocked how she uses her Indian mom as a way to dodge questions," Loomer wrote.

She then made a series of allegations about Greene's personal life and accused her of being racist. "Hey MTG, speaking of racism, one of your former staffers told me you have a favorite word that starts with N. What if the staffer has a video?," Loomer wrote. "I exposed you months ago and I'll do again you trailer trash harpy," she added.

Next on was South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, who expressed concern about Loomer joining Trump at 9/11 events considering she has spread conspiracy theories about the tragedy and said it was an "inside job."

"Marjorie Taylor Greene is right. I don't say that a lot," said Graham. "I think that the president would serve himself well to make sure this doesn't become a bigger story," he added.

Loomer also took on the senator, questioning his sexuality and saying that he shouldn't be "giving out advice to Donald Trump" because he "got booed in his own state at a TRUMP RALLY and was booed off stage because he is DISLOYAL to Trump and the American people." Trump has not addressed the concerns in public so far.
