Tennessee Titans 2023 undrafted free agent signing and defensive lineman, Shakel Brown, was carted off the field during the preseason Week 1 game and the injury is reportedly thought to be serious.
According to Titans beat writer Paul Kuharsky, the early word is that Brown is “probably done for the season” with the ankle injury. The specifics of the injury remain unclear, though.
Brown was inked to a UDFA deal following the 2023 NFL draft and was battling for a roster spot at a position group that is lacking reliable depth.
The Troy product was listed in the No. 3 spot at defensive tackle on the first unofficial depth chart behind veterans Jeffery Simmons and Jaleel Johnson.
Early word on #Titans' DT Shakel Brown, who left the game in Chicago on a cart with what was reported as an ankle injury, is that he is probably done for the season.
He was no roster lock.
