President Donald Trump publicly separated himself from Kimberly Guilfoyle after she resigned as U.S. ambassador to Greece. He stated that she “wasn’t part of my family,” adding, “I guess she dated my son.” The comment passed over their six-year relationship, during which she was engaged to Donald Trump Jr. for four years. The two have been completely estranged since late 2024, when the engagement ended.
Guilfoyle, 57, left the post after the administration asked her to resign. She called the accusations against her “false” and said she would “vigorously defend” her name. A Daily Mail report, based on sources, said she had already been reaching out for help as pressure mounted from a State Department investigation.
