New England Patriots left tackle Isaiah Wynn will attend mandatory minicamp, according to The Athletic’s Jeff Howe.
Wynn has not been present for organized team activities, the voluntary portion of the offseason program. He made the same decision in 2021. His attendance at minicamp indicates he won’t conduct a contract holdout with the Patriots.
New England elected to pick up his fifth-year option for 2022 and he will make $10.4 million this season. His play was strong, at times, but he had too many games where he was inconsistent. His cap hit ranks him at 13th in the NFL among left tackles, an impressive sum. So there’s some question as to whether his play matches the price tag.
Patriots left tackle Isaiah Wynn, who has chosen not to participate in the voluntary portion of the offseason workout program, is expected to report to Gillette Stadium next week for minicamp, per source.

Wynn missed the entirety of his rookie year with an injury and has played 34 games over the last three seasons. He is likely to be the team’s starter at left tackle in 2022 — unless they decide to trade him before the season starts. In Wynn’s absence, the team experimented with tackles Trent Brown and Yodny Cajuste on the left side.
