While the first phase of offseason workouts is underway for the Chiefs, Kansas City is also preparing to make the best selections for the franchise in this year’s NFL draft.
As the Chiefs look to defend their Super Bowl title in the 2023 season, Patrick Mahomes once again met with some of his receivers during the team’s offseason workouts to build early chemistry with them ahead of the season. However, the Chiefs signal caller is reportedly holding a workout with Boston College wide receiver Zay Flowers ahead of next week’s draft, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Flowers, a top prospect in this year’s draft class, thought that his pre-draft process was complete after meeting with the Titans on Tuesday. However, according to Schefter, Kansas City reportedly called and asked Flowers to meet with Mahomes on Wednesday.
Last season, Flowers caught 78 passes for 1,077 yards and 12 touchdowns during his senior season at BC. In four years with the program, he finished with 200 receptions, 3.056 yards and 29 touchdowns while averaging 15.3 yard per catch.
Boston College WR Zay Flowers - Mel Kiper’s No. 10 overall prospect - is in Texas today to workout with Chiefs’ QB Patrick Mahomes at the request of the team, per source. Flowers believed his pre-draft process was over after visiting the Titans on Tuesday…until the Chiefs called…
