Yesenia, the wife of Rangers' striker Morelos, has previously given Andina the 'taste-of-home' seal of approval, labelling it "amazing" and encouraging her followers on Instagram to pop by.

And both she and Alfredo were both pictured at the new branch alongside the Andina team as the new cafe prepared to welcome in its first customers.

A photo shared on the Andina Coffee Instagram page came with a caption posted by business owner Maria Varela, who said: "Andina Finnieston! Thank you so much to all the people that came by to say hello, dance with us and try our coffee.

"When I opened Andina East I was so excited and nervous because my family wasn’t with me, this time I was able to open Andina West End with the company of my mum, dad, sisters, my husband, all my friends and close family… that made it so special.

"If you are in the West End, please come by and say hello to us ."

Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst has confirmed the Alfredo Morelos is close to returning from a thigh injury that ended his 2021/22 season early. He missed out on last night's Champions League qualifier against Union St Gilloise and their opening day Premiership win away at Livingston.

Andina will be serving coffee - the only roasted at origin Colombian coffee in Scotland - as well as cakes and pastries for the time being, but the team have plans to work in their Colombian food menu at some point in the near future.

They will be open for business seven days a week from 8am to 5pm at 1274 Argyle Street. You can follow them on Instagram here.
