Rangers signing Aaron Ramsey pictured in popular Glasgow west end restaurant after arriving in city

New Rangers player Aaron Ramsey already appears to have made himself at home in Glasgow, having been spotted in a popular west end restaurant.

The Wales international's signing has been hailed as a major coup for the Ibrox side after he joined the team on loan from Serie A giants Juventus on transfer deadline day.

The former Arsenal midfielder, who is reported to have earned £400,000 a week while playing in Italy, opted to move to the Scottish champions in favour of a number of clubs south of the border.

And it seems the 31-year-old is already settling in to our city, with Ramsey having being pictured with staff at renowned Hyndland food spot Caffe Parma.

This morning, the eatery shared a photo of the footballer on Instagram with the caption: "This week we had the pleasure of welcoming @aaronramsey as he settles into his new home in Glasgow, where he has signed with @rangersfc having just transferred from @juventus.

"Great to have you Aaron, and we wish you all the best during your time in Glasgow.".

The Hyndland Road Italian restaurant has long been popular with footballers and big stars. It was one of the first ports of calls for former Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha when he arrived in the city back in March 2017, while Lewis Capaldi also posed for pics with staff when he stopped by shortly before the covid lockdown in January 2020.

Rangers are due to travel to Celtic Park for a top-of-the-table clash this evening, however Ramsey has been ruled out of a potential debut appearance, with manager Gio Van Bronckhorst telling reporters the midfielder is still short of fitness following his arrival in Scotland.
