Rangers attacker Josh McPake could be 'offloaded' by the Ibrox club in the summer, with Northern Irish Premiership side Linfield among those interested in his signature.
The 21-year-old from Coatbridge is currently on loan at Scottish Championship side Queen's Park and Football Scotland are reporting that he could be set for the Ibrox exit door in the coming months with boss Michael Beale looking to 'offload' the player.
McPake is reported to be "one of the higher earners for his age bracket" and, despite signing a contract extension in July 2021 that doesn't expire until the summer of 2024, it is claimed Rangers will look to facilitate an early exit for the youngster.
It comes amid claims of disciplinary issues that have caused the player's form to dip in recent weeks with the Spiders.
Linfield reportedly sent scouts to watch McPake for Queen's Park in Friday night's 1-1 draw with Raith Rovers but McPake, who has started the last 10 matches for the club, was on the bench and only managed the last half hour of the game.
Gateshead and Yeovil Town are also said to be showing interest in taking McPake off Rangers' hands at the end of the season.
