Thursday is set to be another windy day, with conditions turning stormy in some parts of the country.
Met Eireann has issued a Status Yellow warning for wind for all of Ireland, urging the public to brace themselves for possible disruption.
The national forecaster said that westerly winds will be “very strong and gusty” throughout the country today, January 12.

It will be quite unsettled in parts, with conditions turning stormy near the coasts of the west and northwest this afternoon.
In Ulster, there will be a mix of sunny spells and showers, and even a chance of isolated thunderstorms and hail.
Temperatures will range between seven and eight degrees, dropping to between three and six tonight. There will also be showers overnight.
A Status Yellow wind warning came into force for all of Ireland at 5am this morning. It will remain in place until 2am on Friday.
The warning from Met Eireann said: “Westerly winds will be very strong and gusty today, in the west at first, progressing eastwards in the afternoon, reaching storm force at coastal areas of the northwest.”
Possible impacts of this wind include "downed trees, power outages and travel disruption".
The wind and rain are here to stay for the coming days, though there will be some sunshine on Friday afternoon following showers. This won’t last, however, with Friday night set to be a wet one.
It will be slightly colder from Friday onwards too, as temperatures will remain between two and five and three and six.
