Ever since it entered development, fans have been excited to see the Bridgerton spin-off, Queen Charlotte. The new series is a prequel to the main show that has been running on Netflix since 2020.
The spin-off show, which will consist of six episodes, will focus on young Queen Charlotte's rise to prominence and power. Golda RosheuvelI will return as the character and her younger self will be played by India Amarteifio.

A trailer for the series has revealed that Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story will release on Thursday, May 4. There will be six episodes.
Who is in Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story?
India Amarteifio (Line of Duty) plays young Queen Charlotte, while Corey Mylchreest (The Sandman) is the young King George. Golda Rosheuvel (Queen Charlotte), Adjoa Andoh (Lady Agatha Danbury) and Ruth Gemmell (Lady Violet Bridgerton) reprise their roles from earlier entries in the series.
Michelle Fairley, Arsema Thomas, Sam Clemmett, Freddie Dennis, Richard Cunningham, Tunji Kasim, Rob Maloney, Cyril Nri, and Hugh Sachs also star.
What is the plot of Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story?
A synopsis for the series reads: “Centred on Queen Charlotte’s rise to prominence and power, this Bridgerton-verse prequel tells the story of how the young Queen’s marriage to King George sparked both a great love story and a societal shift, creating the world of the Ton inherited by the characters in Bridgerton.”
