CHENNAI: Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) bagged ninth rank in engineering and technology in the country as per latest QS World University Ranking by Subject 2022.
The institute has moved up by 55 positions to 346th among the world institutions in engineering and technology this year.
Seven subjects offered at VIT featured on the list published by QS including computer science and information systems, electrical and electronics engineering (EEE) subjects ranked 8th in the country. Computer science and information systems has moved 50 positions up compared to previous year.
The QS World University Rankings by Subject are compiled every year to help prospective students identify leading universities in a particular subject.
Research citations, H index along with results of major global surveys of employers and academicians are used to rank universities under the QS rankings by subject.
