Punjab: Masks stitched by rural women distributed in government schools in Hoshiarpur

HOSHIARPUR: After training rural women to stitch masks as per WHO standards and after procuring it from them, Major Soni Mission Foundation distributed these masks to underprivileged children in six schools in Punjab's Hoshiarpur district. The foundation said that it trained rural women to stitch these masks as per WHO standards and these are very efficient masks with the five layer SSMMS filter.

“A unique and novel model, this project ensures equitable access amongst the underprivileged for fighting the pandemic. The foundation trains rural women to stitch these masks as per WHO standards and distributes these to the needy and underprivileged thereby uplifting both groups simultaneously,” said Akshita Soni, executive president of the MSM Foundation.
