Luis Enrique has named Ousmane Dembele and Achraf Hakimi in the Paris Saint-Germain squad to face Arsenal in the Champions League final.
PSG take on the Gunners in Saturday’s showpiece at the Puskas Arena in Budapest, Hungary, though there have been concerns over the aforementioned pair in particular.
Hakimi, a scorer in last season’s final win over Inter Milan, has been sidelined since sustaining a hamstring injury during the 5-4 semi-final first-leg win over Bayern Munich on April 28.
Meanwhile, Dembele was forced off during the loss to Paris FC on the final day of the Ligue 1 season and missed a training session ten days prior to the Champions League final.
However, in a huge double boost for the holders, both Hakimi and Dembele will travel to Budapest and are expected to be named in the matchday squad.
As such, ten of starting XI from last season’s final have all been included in the squad to face Arsenal, with the only change set to be in goal as Matvei Safonov is set to get the nod over Lucas Chevalier.
This is despite the Frenchman being signed last summer as a direct replacement for Gianluigi Donnarumma, who joined Manchester City.
Nuno Mendes and Pacho have not featured for PSG since the semi-final second leg against Bayern, but are likely to make up the back-four alongside captain Marquinhos and the fit-again Hakimi.
