Prue Leith had a slightly unique journey up The Mall during the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Pageant after the car she was riding in broke down.
The 82-year-old Great British Bake Off judge was among the 200 'national treasures' who were parading towards Buckingham Palace when disaster struck to her vintage motor.
Dressed in a turquoise and pink floral jacket, Prue was all smiles as she waved to the crowds, who were packed at the side of the road, cheering their appreciation.
Unfortunately, the feeling of bon viveur was soon to go when her car came to a sudden, juddering halt.
Prue's journey then continued with five people pushing hard to the back of the car, as television cameras joined them to share the Bake Off star's misfortune.
The vintage Rolls Royce was not playing ball and looked like it froze on the big occasion but Prue was not looking too angered by the setback.
The baking icon was seen turning to see how the rescue operation was going and was smiling at the predicament they were in.
The Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations will draw to a close this afternoon with a colourful street pageant - which royal revellers hope will be capped by a Buckingham Palace appearance by Her Majesty.
The Queen has been forced to miss much of the weekend's events due to mobility issues, but royal fans are hoping to catch a glimpse of the 96-year-old at the finale.
A selection of 200 "national treasures" - including Ed Sheeran, Joe Wicks and Harry Redknapp - will serenade the Queen by belting out the national anthem in The Mall.
