KEIR Starmer was met by pro-ceasefire protesters as he arrived into Glasgow on Thursday night.
The Labour leader is due to speak at a winter fundraising gala being held by Scottish Labour at the Crowne Plaza hotel.
However, as he arrived into the city, protesters crowded the politician in order to criticise his stance on the Israel-Hamas war.
He has so far refused to back calls for a ceasefire in Gaza despite considerable rebellion within his own party.
Footage of his arrival showed people shouting "shame on you" as he arrived in Central Station.
Video also showed two protesters being pinned down by police while protesters chant "let them go" outside the Crowne Plaza hotel.
Police Scotland later confirmed that two people had been arrested.

The Labour leader did not answer and the man was quickly ushered away.
The organisers of the protest, Stop the War Scotland, said they would be demanding Starmer support a ceasefire in Gaza.
A statement read: “Protesters will be demanding that Keir Starmer supports the call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza.
“We believe it’s abhorrent that the leader of the opposition continues to support the indiscriminate mass slaughter by the Israeli state of tens of thousands of innocent Palestinian men, women and children.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We are aware of an ongoing protest at a premises on Congress Road, Glasgow, and an earlier protest in the Gordon Street area of the city.
“Officers are in attendance at Congress Road and engaging with the crowd.
"Two people have been arrested in connection with assaulting police officers at Congress Road and enquiries are ongoing.
"There have been no reports of any injuries at either protest."
