The son of Priscilla Presley has revealed he was almost killed in a freak camel attack weeks before his half-sister Lisa Marie Presley died from a cardiac arrest aged 55.

The 35-year-old musician said that he was visiting an animal sanctuary outside of Los Angeles with his mother, 77, when a camel, which he estimated weighed 2,000 lbs, “pounced on him” and “got his whole head in its mouth”.

The Them Guns frontman told People that he had been feeding the animal - which had been previously abused in a circus - but had run out of food which is when it then attacked him.

He said that due to the animal being so heavy, the sanctuary workers were unable to free him from its grasp until he was fortunately saved by a dog.

His Dallas actress mother meanwhile was watching on and “freaking out,” with Garcia saying she was “traumatised” by the incident.

Garcia said that he received 34 staples in his head following the attack, but that he’s doing better now.

Given his sister’s untimely death on January 12, he said he was especially grateful that things hadn’t been a lot worse.

He said: “I mean, I was happy I survived before, but now it’s like, thank God I survived. My mom would’ve lost two kids in two weeks.”
