Princess Eugenie pregnant with second child as she shares sweet picture on Instagram

Princess Eugenie is pregnant with her second child it has been confirmed.

Buckingham Palace confirmed that the 32-year-old royal will see another youngster join her and husband Jack Brooksbank's family in the summer.

The Palace said in a statement: “Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are pleased to announce they are expecting their second child this summer.

“The family are delighted and August is very much looking forward to being a big brother.”

The Princess also took to her official Instagram account to share a cute snap of her own alongside the announcement. Standing in a field, Eugenie is seen with her son August, who is hugging her and kissing her baby bump.

Alongside the snap, she penned: "We’re so excited to share that there will be a new addition to our family this summer." It comes as their son fast approaches his second birthday next month.

Princess Eugenie has fond memories of the North East after studying English Literature, History of Art at Newcastle University in 2009. As a fresher, the royal decided to skip lavish living and quickly settled into residing in traditional student halls, reportedly Castle Leazes, with fellow undergrads.

The then-19-year-old, the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, was living worlds apart from her upbringing at the Royal Lodge in Windsor, but made the most of her surroundings and is said to have had an 'amazing experience' - visiting all of the local sights of the region.

Speaking to Chronicle Live in 2012, she said: “I went to – this is really bad – I went to Wet and Wild, the swimming place.

“I went to the Angel of the North which was incredible,” she added.
