Prince William will do the morning school run for George, Charlotte and Louis when they start afresh at £7k-a-term Lambrook Prep.
The move from Thomas's Battersea to Lambrook School comes as the Cambridge family says goodbye to their London lives in favour of a new Windsor home.
The children will travel a 14-mile round journey each day from the royal home William and Kate have chosen in Windsor Great Park.
The couple will share the duty of running their children to and from the school.
The three children will not be boarding, but annual fees will still set the Cambridges back about £53,628.
Putting Louis in reception will be £13,167 for the year, while Charlotte, in Year 3, will cost her parents £19,464 a year. Year 5 fees for George will be £20,997 a year.
William will ferry his and Kate’s three children to the school each morning when they all start at the private Lambrook School in Berkshire in just a few weeks' time, according to The Sun.
Lambrook School - a co-educational Prep School for 615 boys and girls aged 3-13 set in 52 acres of countryside, is just around the corner from the Cambridge’s new home Adelaide Cottage.
The school has its very own Orchard complete with bees, chickens, and even pigs. There is also woodland for the little ones to explore, a nine-hole golf course, a 25-metre swimming pool, a cricket pitch, squash courts and a dance studio.
Fees for the top school range between £4,000 to £7,000 per term depending on the age of the child.
George and Charlotte will move to Lambrook School after starting their education at Thomas's Battersea. Louis will join the Berkshire school's nursery class after finishing Wilcocks Nursery in Kensington before the summer.
An insider claimed it was the royal children who led the decision to move to the countryside, but it also fits with Prince William and Kate's desire for them to have the "most normal" start possible.
They said: "This is very much a decision that two parents have made to give their children the ‘most normal’ start possible. KP can be a little bit of a fishbowl.
"They wanted to be able to give George, Charlotte and Louis a bit more freedom than they have living in central London. It’s very much a decision that’s been led by the kids."
After months of speculation about the family's future, Kensington Palace finally confirmed the move to Windsor on Monday.
A statement said: "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have today announced that Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will attend Lambrook School in Berkshire from September 2022.
"Their Royal Highnesses are hugely grateful to Thomas’s Battersea where George and Charlotte have had a happy start to their education since 2017 and 2019 respectively and are pleased to have found a school for all three of their children that shares a similar ethos and values to Thomas’s."
Jonathan Perry, headmaster at Lambrook School, said: “We are delighted that Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will be joining us this coming September and very much look forward to welcoming the family, as well as all of our new pupils, to our school community.”
