Prince Harry now faces an almighty change, being required to bow to his step-mum Queen Camilla whenever he sees her for the first time.
Following the death of Queen Elizabeth in September 2022, the Royal Family faced one of the biggest changes in history, with her eldest son becoming King Charles III while his wife became Queen.
The Duke of Sussex, 38, has made his dislike for his step-mother no secret and has hit out at her in a series of scathing attacks in his memoir Spare.
Harry sensationally accused Queen Camilla of having stories leaked to the press as well as "playing a game for the Crown".
He went on to describe her as "the wicked stepmother," before claiming she was "dangerous" due to relationships she allegedly had with the media.
In a new Sky News podcast, Queen Camilla: for the Love of Charles, Sky News anchor Kay Burley explained: "Queen Camilla – who would have thought it?
"Thirty years ago, we had this preconceived idea of an 'evil woman' who had split up a fairy-tale couple, she would never be Queen Camilla, we thought, because look what she had done. It took her a long time to change that."
Reflecting on her first meeting with the new Queen, Kay said: "I didn't know what to expect of Camilla before I met her.
"She turned out to be charming and disarming, I think she's beautiful, she tells good stories – although I can’t repeat them, she's down to earth, funny and warm."
Kay goes on to explain that she was a junior reporter working in local news in her hometown of Wigan when King Charles married Diana, Princess of Wales and was left "disappointed" when the news of his affair with Camilla broke.
In her Platinum Jubilee year, Queen Elizabeth announced that despite the Palace previously stating Camilla would be styled a Princess upon Charles' accession, it was her "sincere wish" for Camilla to become Queen.
Following Harry's blistering attacks, Kay added: "Harry needs to have those conversations in private with his therapist.
"Now he is coming to the coronation, he will have to bow to Camilla. Any side show is just that.
"For years, all Camilla craved was the love of the man who filled her heart."
She went on to add that the Queen was "prepared to wait and finally was rewarded".
The Duke of Sussex will attend the Coronation ceremony on Saturday before jetting back to California – meaning he will miss the official lunch, fly past and Coronation concert.
Meanwhile, Meghan Markle will not attend any of the celebrations.
