Prince Harry leaves William out of statement just days after Diana charity reunion

The Duke of Sussex has reportedly left his big brother, Prince William, out of a statement regarding his involvement in The Diana Award that was published on his website today.

Just days after the brothers were reunited, Prince William has been left out of a statement regarding their shared charitable efforts, reports the Mirror.

On the news section of the Archewell website, Prince Harry discussed the events that took place on June 30 - in which a virtual ceremony occurred, honouring 189 people from 31 countries.

However, Harry failed to mention his big brother's involvement in the charity event, after William appeared via video link to help present the awards.

On Harry's Archewell blog, the statement reads: "Today, The Diana Award recognized over 180 exceptional young leaders who are transforming their communities and driving positive change."

Harry went on to explain the backstory of The Diana Award, which was set up in memory of his late mother in 1999.

The cause, which is close to the brother's hearts for obvious reasons, recognises youth aged between nine and 25 years old, for their humanitarian or social action work.

The statement added: "This year, The Diana Award recognized changemakers from 31 different countries, all united in their collective efforts to create a more equitable and inclusive world."

The post also noted how Harry joined past award winners in Los Angeles for the first ever in-person event called Conversations for Change.

The statement also noted the Duke of Sussex surprised four of this year's winners of the Diana Award with their certificates.

The statement concluded how Prince Harry, "participated in a powerful session led by Legacy Award recipient Vee Kativhu that explored alumni and recipients’ inspirational work, inequality, and the online world".

The blog post didn't mention at any point how Prince William also recorded a video where he spoke of how "proud" he was to continue his late mother's beliefs, saying: "Today, we recognise the power of all young people—the power to challenge the status quo, to confront injustice, and to inspire meaningful change."

William concluded: "To all the award recipients, I extend my heartfelt congratulations. Your accomplishments are a testament to your passion and commitment to creating positive change.

"You are the torchbearers of hope and inspiration, lighting the way for others to follow."

The brothers were not in the same room when they were on camera, apparent by their backgrounds, and the fact that Harry had attended the event in LA.
