Prince George and Princess Charlotte have been given a new surname following the death of the Queen. Upon his ascendance to the throne, King Charles named William and Kate as the Prince and Princess of Wales, meaning their children's surname is now Wales rather than Cambridge.
George and Charlotte's new surname was revealed for the first time yesterday in the order of service for the Queen's funeral. Younger brother Louis has also had his surname changed but did not attend the ceremony, according to the Mirror.
The young royals now share the same name that their father Prince William and uncle Prince Harry had growing up. Royal expert Angela Mollard has told how it will now take some time for the youngsters to get used to the surname, especially as they are known as Cambridge amongst their classmates at school.
