Primark has finally launched its highly-anticipated website. And while the new service won't allow customers to shop online for home delivery, there are many other useful functions to help people out.
The high-street store's new flashy website will let shoppers check if an item they like is in their local store for the first time. The website will use a traffic light system to do this.
If an item has a green light, it is in stock. Orange means there are a few left, while red means it's sold out but will be returning, reports The Mirror. It will make navigating the stores much easier for regular shoppers.

In addition to this, the new website features a much wider selection of the latest Primark collections and everyday essentials across fashion, homeware, lifestyle and beauty. Consumers are able to view more images, and access more detailed product information – covering fabric and materials, sourcing and care instructions. They will also be able to browse the site by style, colour and size.
Primark has confirmed additional features will be rolled out to the new site in the coming months including a customer account and log-in function, a newsletter to receive all the latest Primark news and sneak peeks of new collections, and the ability to create a wishlist of favourite products.
Chief Executive, Primark, Paul Marchant, said: "We know our customers love the experience of shopping with Primark and the surprises they pick up when they come into our stores – it's what makes Primark special. However, we know that they also want to browse the latest collections online and be able to check availability, which is what our new website makes possible for the first time.
"This new website and new features mark a significant step forward for our business and represent a shift in the role of digital at Primark. The new site also gives us a great opportunity to reach a whole new set of customers, enabling us to showcase the great range of products we offer when they’re browsing online to help tempt them into our stores."
Primark has eight stores across Wales. These are located in Cardiff, Newport, Cwmbran, Llandudno, Wrexham, Llanelli, Swansea and Broughton.
Calls for an online store with a home delivery option have only increased since retailers were forced to temporarily close in December 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, however, Primark has remained adamant that it won't start selling its clothing online.
