Primark £10 sandals with nostalgic vibe are a hit with shoppers

Spring and summer wardrobes at the ready, the sun is out. But if your sandals are looking a bit shabby, Primark's latest range may provide an update with a twist. Shoppers are saying they have a nostalgic vibe.

The £10 sandals are termed Fisherman Sandals by the high street retailer and depending upon your age may remind you of years gone by. One shopper said: "I love these! I had a pair from Primark in the 90s, they looked great, were the comfiest thing and I literally walked miles and miles in them! I definitely want a pair!".

However, another tagged in a fellow shopper and said: "Remind me of nanny, lol, I like them". The reply came: " I like em too". Primark posted about the sandals on its Instagram account, captioning it: "New In: Fisherman Sandals £10/€13 #Primark #NewArrivals". Shown in black and white colourways, shoppers shared their thoughts on the colour too.

One Instagram user wrote: "I like the black. They look really comfy!". Another, tagging in a friend, said: "I want the black ones but I’ll let you have the white ones" alongside a laughing face emoji. One shopper added: "Brought both pairs but haven't tried them on yet."

Primark, which has stores in Nottingham city centre and Mansfield in Nottinghamshire, released its £8 bargain bags for spring recently, and shoppers soon called it a 'must have' item. The new season sandals appear to be equally well received.

Tagging in a friend, one shopper wrote: "get for ur hols", while another suggested: "The black ones for summer" alongside three sun emojis and a heart face. A third wrote: "these are cute!!!" and another added: "Oh these are beaut".

Another shopper compared the price to a similar pair they'd seen while out shopping. They wrote: "These I seen some similar yesterday in RI yesterday £60".
