'Prima donna' - Sir Alex Ferguson's former Manchester United assistant warns against Neymar transfer

Sir Alex Ferguson Manchester United Ten Hag Erik ten Hag Chelsea Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani Marcus Rashford Rene Meulensteen Paris Saint-Germain

Former Manchester United assistant Rene Meulensteen believes the Reds should avoid bringing Neymar to Old Trafford due to his reputation.

Links between United and the Brazilian winger have been sparked in recent weeks due to Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani's interest in buying the club. PSG are currently owned by Qatar Sports Investment and, should Sheikh Jassim complete his takeover, the links could grow even more.

Neymar is reportedly unhappy in the French capital following his team's early exit from the Champions League this season. Erik ten Hag was asked about the prospect of signing PSG's man before securing their top-four finish on Thursday against Chelsea.
