President-elect Trump has wasted no time in announcing key members of his potential future cabinet, with six Cabinet picks revealed within a week of his recent election victory. One notable selection is Rep. Mike Waltz, R-Fla., chosen to serve as national security adviser. Trump highlighted Waltz's impressive military background, being the first Green Beret elected to Congress and having served in the Army Special Forces for 27 years with multiple combat deployments and several Bronze Star awards.

Another swift announcement was the nomination of Rep. Elise Stefanik as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, emphasizing her strong advocacy for America First policies. This move came nearly two weeks earlier than Trump's 2016 selection of Nikki Haley for the same role.

Former New York Republican Rep. Lee Zeldin was also named to lead the Environmental Protection Agency, with Trump praising his commitment to balancing deregulation with environmental standards. Zeldin, who ran for New York governor in 2022, received recognition for his efforts in supporting Republican candidates during the midterms.

Additionally, Trump appointed Susie Wiles as his chief of staff, making her the first female to hold the position in U.S. history. Longtime adviser Stephen Miller was chosen as deputy chief of staff for policy, and former ICE director Tom Homan will serve as the administration's 'border czar,' overseeing deportation operations.

Reports suggest that Florida Sen. Marco Rubio is being considered for the role of secretary of state, while North Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem is a potential pick to lead the Department of Homeland Security, though these selections have not been officially confirmed by Trump.
