A hotel worker found a guest dead in a bed, an inquest heard.
A member of Premier Inn staff found 38-year-old Antony Kevin Farrell dead in his hotel room in Caernarfon on January 8, NorthWalesLive reported.
An inquest opening in the town on Wednesday heard how Mr Farrell, of Vinegar Hill in Caernarfon, was found in a bed by a member of staff shortly before 2pm.
Speaking during the hearing acting senior coroner Katie Sutherland said: "Antony Kevin Farrell was identified by his driving licence and booking details for the room after a member of staff found him deceased in a bed with medication around him.
"The provisional cause of death is pending further toxicological analysis.
"The full inquest will be adjourned pending completion of further investigations."
