Pregnant Jeremy Vine host Storm Huntley returns to Channel 5 show after being struck down with Covid

Storm Huntley has stunned fans as she makes her return to the Jeremy Vine Show today after contracting Covid-19.

The Glasgow-born presenter, who is pregnant with her first child with LaFontaine's husband Kerr Okan, shared a backstage snap on Instagram ahead of the show airing. Storm, 35, looked all smiles as she made her way back to the Channel 5 set.

The Scots star posed next to Jeremy Vine, who was also off sick after testing positive for coronavirus.

Looking glamorous ahead of her on screen return, Storm wrote: " We’re back!!!" Sharing another photo of the two to social media, Vine wrote: "So nice to be back in the office with @StormHuntley post-Covid, pre-baby! Not long now."

Jeremy Vine co-star Dawn Neesom buzzed over Storm's return, before she heads on maternity leave: "So brilliant to have the awesome @StormHuntley back @JeremyVineOn5 #JeremyVineExtra today. Mostly because she’s damn good but also I *may* have a slight @RollingStones @BSTHydePark hangover."

Fans took to Instagram to gush over Storm being back on the telly. One commented: "Aww… welcome back you radiant soul. Glad you’re both doing just fine… time is ah coming…" Another wrote: "Not long now!! Your bump looks so beautiful and I’d say low now"

A third penned: "So glad you're back...you were missed. Looking amazing as always and in heels," and a fourth agreed: "Wow.... Looking good showing off that lovely baby bump"

The star gave Channel 5 viewers a health update earlier in the week, sending in a recording to the show, she said: "This is where I've been spending the sort of last 5 or 6 days. How rubbish is that? 2 years of a pandemic and I catch it 2 weeks away from my maternity leave." The co-host teased that she "can't concentrate" because she has a fever, though she concluded the clip by telling viewers :"I think I'm over the worst of it now, which is great."

The Jeremy Vine Show airs weekdays on Channel 5 from 9.15am. You can catch up on previous episodes through on demand service My5.
