One of Ayrshire's most popular restaurants is closing for a major refurbishment today.
Lido in Troon will shut down for the 'extensive' refurbishment, it was announced late last night.
It's not been revealed how long the Buzzworks eaterie will be closed for but restaurant bosses have enlisted internationally acclaimed designer Jim Hamilton to help with the refit.
A post on the venue's Facebook page said: "It's a new season and with it comes a new look but, rest assured, the same great Lido Troon.
"Excuse us while we slip into something a little more comfortable! We just wanted to give you a heads up that Lido Troon will be closed from tomorrow — Monday, May 9 — as we undertake an extensive refurbishment.
"It's been eight wonderful years since we last showed Lido Troon a little love so we have enlisted the help of the internationally acclaimed interior designer, Jim Hamilton, and can't wait to share the incredible results with you shortly…"
The popular restaurant was gutted by a major fire in February 2012 with Buzzworks bosses forced to remodel the entire venue.
