Pope Leo to undergo surgery to remove nodule on lung

Pope Leo XIV has said that he will undergo surgery to remove a nodule on his lung, the Vatican has announced.

The pope said it was found in an early stage and was "circumscribed." He said surgery was scheduled in the coming days.
