Polls open in Liberia for tense presidential run-off

Polls have opened in Liberia for the presidential run-off election. Voters are asked to choose between a second term for former football star George Weah despite a controversial record, or to elect political veteran Joseph Boakai despite his age.

The run-off is expected to be close between the rivals, who also faced off in 2017 when Weah won in the second round with more than 61 percent.
