Police warning as vehicles seen driving in wrong direction on M6 slip road

  • Lancashire Police have condemned drivers caught travelling the wrong way up an M6 slip road near Lancaster to avoid traffic delays.
  • The warning follows a fatal collision on the A66 in Middlesbrough on Saturday, in which seven people including two police officers died.

  • Officers have identified several drivers involved in the M6 incident and confirmed that appropriate legal action will be taken against them.
