Police have issued an update after a dog attacked a four-year-old boy.
The little boy was attacked by a dog on on Wellesbourne Place in Norris Green at around 7pm on Saturday, August 14 and was left with serious injuries. A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said the four-year-old remains in hospital after receiving treatment.
He is currently in a serious but stable condition and has suffered "significant injuries to head and face". Today, Merseyside Police said the 31-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of being in charge of an out of control dangerous dog causing injury has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
