Police house raids have netted cannabis, suspected Class A remnants and weighing scales in Bestwood today (Thursday). Officers believe they broke up a suspected drugs den while executing two simultaneous warrants.
A quantity of cannabis, remnants of suspected Class A drugs and weighing scales were all seized from the properties in the Bestwood area. Drug paraphernalia, including equipment used to grow cannabis, was also found inside one address that police say was reportedly being used to produce drugs.
The warrants were led by the City North Operation Reacher team, with support from beat officers from the area and both the Radford and Gedling Operation Reacher teams. Officers carried out this planned activity as part of neighbourhood policing week of action, which runs from January 23-29, and aims to shine a light on the importance of policing in the community.
