Police were led on a chase after a van failed to stop for officers in Walton.
An officer on patrol spotted a grey Volkswagen had a flat tyre on County Road. The driver failed to stop despite being indicated to do so by the officer at around 8.45pm on Sunday, December 11.
Merseyside police today said the van then sped off and went through red lights and onto pavements. After a pursuit, the vehicle stopped on Hampden Street and three men ran from the scene.

With the help of a police helicopter, a 31-year-old man from Kirkby was arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking, driving a motor vehicle dangerously, driving while disqualified and failing to stop. He remained in police custody on Monday morning.
Detective Inspector Neil Dillon said: "This was dangerous and reckless driving and could have easily caused a serious collision. Although we have made an arrest, we are still appealing for information to help our ongoing enquiries.
"We are appealing for anyone who was in the area of County Road and Hampden Street who saw the grey Volkswagen, or captured its movements on either dashcam or Ring doorbell footage to contact us. Any piece of information could be vital to our investigation.
