Police appeal as man hospitalised after assault in broad daylight on West Lothian street

Police are appealing for information after a man was seriously assaulted in West Lothian.

Around 1pm on Monday, a 40-year-old man was walking near to Kirkgate, West Calder, when he was approached by a man and assaulted.

The man was taken to St John’s Hospital for treatment.
