It took a while, but Pokémon GO has finally revealed details of the Community Day this April. It's going to be this April 20 from 2:00 p.m. (local time) to 5:00 p.m. (local time). The highlight is none other Bellsprout, which is appearing more frequently in the wild.
During the event, trainers able to evolve Weepinbell, which is Bellsprout's Evolution, can get a Victreebel that knows the Fast Attack Magical Leaf.
For the event, there's a lot of bonuses for trainers to enjoy. These include:
- 3× Stardust for catching Pokémon.
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
- 2× chance for trainers who are at least level 31 to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.
- Lure Modules activated during the event lasts for three hours.
- Incense activated during the event lasts for three hours.
- Doesn't include Daily Adventure Incense.
- Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise.
- One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day.
- Trades need 50% less Stardust.
Special Research story
While the event is free, trainers can also get access to a Bellsprout Community Day–exclusive Special Research story. However, they'll need to have ticket which costs $1. It's also possible not to do it alone since trainers can buy and gift tickets to any of their friends. The only catch is that they should have achieved a Friendship level of at least Great Friends.
Event Bundles
Trainers can also get their hands on bundles available during the event. These are:
- Bundle 1 (1,350 PokéCoins)
- 50 Ultra Balls
- five Super Incubators
- one Elite Charged TM
- five Lucky Eggs
- Bundle 2 (480 PokéCoins)
- 30 Ultra Balls
- one Incense
- three Super Incubators
- one Lure Module
Bonus Raid Battles
Now there's a lot of things to enjoy during the Community Day. However, there's still something to do even after it's over. There's because there's going to be a special four-star Raid Battles on April 20 from 5:00 p.m. (local time) to 10:00 p.m. (local time).
During this period, Weepinbell is appearing in four-star raids. By the way, trainers need to have Raid Passes and Premium Battle Passes to join this raid. Remote Raid Passes can't be used for these raid battles.
Anyway, trainers who successfully complete a four-star Raid Battle against Weepinbell can cause an additional Bellsprout appear around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes. Those lucky enough have a chance to encounter a Shiny version.
