Plot of land near village where legendary Scottish outlaw Rob Roy MacGregor was laid to rest to be sold at auction

A plot of land west of Lochearnhead just outside Perthshire near the village where legendary Scottish outlaw Rob Roy MacGregor was laid to rest is scheduled to be auctioned off next week.

The 26-acre site beside Loch Voil is just a short distance away from Balquhidder where the 18th century folk hero is buried in the grounds of the local parish church.

Future Property Auctions is aiming to sell the site it is calling ‘Rob Roy Landing’ on its website during a timed online auction being held on Thursday (June 16) with the opening bid set at £111,000.
