- An Aurigny flight from Guernsey to Manchester on Sunday, 7 June, was forced to make an emergency landing after its windscreen cracked mid-air.
- The ATR 72 aircraft, flight GR678, was flying near Basingstoke in Hampshire when it suddenly made a large U-turn, landing unexpectedly at Southampton airport.
- Aurigny told BBC News: “ In line with standard operating procedures, the flight crew carried out a precautionary emergency landing. Passengers and crew are safe and well.”
- The airline added that it arranged coach travel to allow passengers to reach Manchester.
- It also arranged a different aircraft for the return service to Guernsey.
