In a research conducted by MoneyTransfers.com, the Thai island of Phuket was given the title of the world’s most overcrowded tourist destination of 2023! Now that the travel world is back to its pre-pandemic time, famous places are once again struggling with overtourism. On the top of the list is Thailand’s Phuket, followed by Pattaya and Krabi. It is one of Thailand's most popular getaways and is especially famous for those seeking a beach vacation and a place that hosts some of the world's most famous parties.
The situation has gone so bad in some places that the government has been forced to implement measures to control tourist numbers.
