Game 2 of the 2024 NBA Finals saw the Boston Celtics grab a 105-98 home victory against the Dallas Mavericks. Teams are 31-5 after going up 2-0 in the championship round of the NBA playoffs.
Dallas was much more physical to open the game, and Boston had to work for each and every basket. And while the Celtics as a collective shot the ball poorly, the Mavericks were quite effective on offense, thanks in part to All-NBA guard Luka Doncic. This faded over the course of the game, however. Dallas seemed to struggle with fatigue while Boston continued to score, especially at the rim. The Celtics didn’t overwhelm the Mavericks, but instead outlasted them.
