Sites selling Peter Kay tickets were jammed by customers trying to secure seats before they even went on sale.
Seetickets and Gigs and Tours both redirected customers to holding pages between 9.30am and 10am on Saturday morning, ahead of the general sale going live.
"Please bear with us. At the moment there are a lot of people trying to buy tickets, so we have put a queuing system in place, which is completely normal," read a message on Gigs and Tours.

Seetickets customers logging on were met with a similar message: "We are currently processing the maximum possible number of bookings we are able to handle at one time."
Ticketmaster put buyers into a "waiting room" which then redirects them into a queue from 10am.
