Peter Kay has confirmed more dates for his upcoming tour as tickets went on sale today. Demand has already been high with pre-sale customers finding sites blocked leaving many having to rely on booking through the general sale.
Now the Bolton comedian has added 11 more dates to the tour which will include two in December this year. The remaining performances will be from September 2023, reports the Manchester Evening News.
The star will play at 12 venues across the UK including Belfast, Birmingham, Manchester. Leeds, Newcastle and Liverpool. In addition to the gigs already announced he will now play: Birmingham Utilita Arena on August 9 and October 7, 2024; London on December 16 2023 and January 6, 2024; Manchester on May 17 and 18, June 14 and 15 and July 26 and 27, all 2024; and Sheffield September 6, 2024.
Many people were disappointed on Thursday when they struggled to get pre-sale tickets for the tour as a result of O2 Priority being down for much of the morning. Fans who were O2 mobile customers or Three mobile members could get early access to tickets on Thursday from 10am but many couldn't even log onto the O2 Priority app.
O2 apologised and said it had never seen demand like it and were working to get the app and website back up so fans could get tickets. The Three+ app reported similar problems during the initial launch but recovered quicker than O2 Priority.
Tickets are available via Ticketmaster, See Tickets and the Ticket Factory. However some dates have already sold out as high demand continues.
