Pete Doherty has lived a wild life, and now the rocker has revealed that his madcap antics started from a very young age.
The Libertines frontman, 43, has told how he bit through a string of fairy lights as a child - and the electric shock left him with a distinctive streak of white hair.
"When I was a toddler I remembered I chewed through a wire from Christmas lights," he says on Never Mind the Christmas Buzzcocks.
"I kind of spontaneously combusted or something and I had to go to the hospital."
He added: "When I came back I had a big white streak in my hair."
But the brush with death didn't leave a lasting impression on the youngster - and just a few years later he made a similar mistake.
"Four years later I electrocuted myself under the fridge as well, but that was New Year I think," he said.
Meanwhile, the singer is reportedly set to become a father for the third time.
He is said to have announced that he and his wife Katia de Vidas are expecting a child together at a gig on Monday evening.
The Libertines frontman is already a dad to Astile, 19, and Aisling, 10.
Pete and Katie have been in a relationship since 2012 and tied the knot last year.
It has been claimed Pete announced the news during a gig in Strasbourg, France on Monday evening – however, the news hasn't been mentioned on their social media pages as of yet.
"They were happily talking about the news with fans after the show who waited behind to speak to them," a source claimed to the Mail Online.
Pete and Katia, who performs in the former Babyshambles star's band, married at a French retreat in September 2021, two days after confirming their engagement.
The pair exchanged vows at the Domaine Saint Clair hotel in the French city of Etretat, where the pair have called home for the last three years.
Pete and Katia announced they had tied the knot as they posted a black and white snap of their big day on Instagram, simply captioned with their wedding date: "30.09.21," and a heart emoji.
Pete's Libertine's bandmate Gary Powell also shared a photo as the pair shared a kiss and wrote: "So happy for peter and Katia!"
In 2021, Pete also revealed he had been off of heroin for two and a half years.
He told BBC Scotland's The Seven programme: "I’m in recovery, I suppose.
"I’m two-and-a-half years clean of heroin, which is a big deal for me. And yeah, I’m ticking along. I’m writing music, still writing music, yeah."
Pete once famously dated supermodel Kate Moss, after meeting at her 31st birthday bash in 2005.
The Libertines singer announced he's "really found love" soon after the relationship blossomed but their romance was turbulent.
Pete and Kate split briefly after the rockstar failed to complete a stint in rehab.
After a string of public declarations of love, including scrawling "I love Kate 4 eva" on the windscreen of his Jaguar.
Pete and Kate reunited and attended rehab together. But, the pair were seen in a number of public rows before splitting for good in July 2007.
Pete is already a dad to son Astile from his previous relationship with Lisa Moorish.
He also has a daughter, Aisling, with model Lindi Hingston.
Aisling's arrival was announced a year after she was born. Pete said of his daughter a week after the announcement: "The little girl was two months premature. I said I'd try to be there for the birth... Yeah, she's mine."
Banbyshambles star Pete also claimed he had a fling with Amy Winehouse before her beath in 2011.
He told the Mail on Sunday in 2012: "Amy and I were lovers. I loved her then and, well, I still do today.
"But towards the end, as only lovers can, she became quite mean and cruel to me. She didn't suffer fools... and believe me, she had a mean right hook."
