Pete Davidson isn't expected to feature heavily on the new season of The Kardashians despite featuring on the latest trailer release.
Season two of the hit reality TV show is set to air next month and Hulu have released the latest teaser. However, while Pete, 28, is seen in the short clip, he's reportedly just featuring in the background.
It comes after the comedian and star of the show Kim Kardashian brought their nine-month relationship to an end earlier this month. But even when they were dating, it was noted that Pete wasn't keen on being a main part of the series.
The teaser for the latest series sees Kim tell the cameras: "Life is good. I have a new boyfriend, and I am just having a really good time."
The now ex-couple are then seen prior to the Met Gala as the SKIMS founder gives the former Saturday Night Live man a racy invitation in front of Khloe Kardashian. "“Babe, do you want to shower with me really quick?,” she asked the comedian.
Despite the clip being a main feature for the trailer, a source has confirmed Pete is just a bit part. Speaking to Page Six, the insider commented: "He’s in the background, but the reality world is not built for people like Pete."
They continued to say Pete is "a very private person" and acknowledged that Kim "was always super respectful of that".
"He was not on the first season. I don’t know how they’re doing the second season, but he’s not a part of that world," they said.
Kim and Pete went their separate ways with a number of reasons playing a part. Earlier this month a source claimed the reality TV star was "totally exhausted" by the relationship as well as other aspects of her life.
Speaking to Page Six, the insider claimed: "Pete is 28 and Kim is 41 — they are just in very different places at the moment."
They added: "Pete is totally spontaneous and impulsive and wants her to fly to New York, or wherever he is on a moment’s notice. But Kim has four kids and it isn’t that easy. She needs to focus on the kids."
Kim shares four kids with her ex Kanye West, who has been very vocal in his dislike for Pete both during and after Kim and Pete's relationship.
It's thought that Pete entered into " trauma therapy" following months of online harassment from Kanye, 45.
The comedian reportedly decided to seek help after the rapper made numerous explosive social media posts about him. The rapper even created a disturbing music video in which he appeared to bury Pete alive.
